It marks my return to verbalizing after a lengthy attempt to make my art strictly visual.
It depicts my concern for the Earth, my increasing awareness of mortality, and my delight in the graphics of daily life from ticket stubs to foliage.
My work begins as collages constructed in Photoshop from snapshots and found objects. Papers and inks are archival, as are mats and backing; the glass is conservation white. All work not signed on the front is signed verso. (As I began to apply calligraphy directly onto the picture surface, I became unwilling to distract from the composition with a signature.) There are no editions of these pieces.
